Travel Tips

1) Remember your wallet with your ID, cash, etc.

2) And if you forget your wallet, live close enough to the airport that your husband can drag the kids out of bed and rush through commuter traffic to bring you your wallet so you can run through security and the terminal right before the door closes and you can make your plane.

3) And in order to take care of #1, when your daughter looses her second tooth, remember to have the tooth fairy pay her at night when you're packing, so that when you check your bag to make sure you have everything, you've already taken care of any home-expenses and the wallet remains in the bag. Because you KNOW you will not be coherent at 5:30 am.

4) When traveling with cash because your payroll didn't make it through direct deposit and is on a hold with your account on hold due to automatic payments that went through - put the cash in two different locations so it's not all in your wallet and doesn't fall out at some point in all the travel stress when you do #1.

5) When you get to the airport and realize that a) you have no cash and b) your phone has been turned off because you haven't been able to pay it yet due to the payroll issue - cry. Spen 1 1/2 hours on the phone with the bank getting them to release the hold early, transfer money into savings for you so you can get it out via your atm card and get a cab and be late to your meeting.

6) Have an emergency credit card that actually HAS an available balance on it!

7) When you go to the ATM and it refuses to give you money because it doesn't read that you're trying to take it out of savings and your checking account is unavailable cry again. Then wander the airport terminal looking for a different banks ATM (wells fargo, you suck and I will be writing you a letter!)

8) Finally get to your meeting - 2 hours late.

9) Call and give said sob story to phone company so they turn phone back on early. :D
